We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented HR Research Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will:
- Conduct in-depth research on a variety of HR-related topics to support ongoing projects and initiatives.
- Collaborate closely with fellow student workers to share insights, coordinate efforts, and ensure cohesive team operations.
- Assist in analyzing data and compiling reports to aid in decision-making processes.

Description of the Position: (Purpose of the Position):
As a Human Resource Student Worker, you will be an integral part of our Human Resources team. Your primary responsibilities will involve greeting and assisting guests, performing thought research on HR subjects, managing various administrative tasks, and supporting the HR department with multiple projects. This role requires strong communication skills, the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.Transferable Skills:
- Communication: Effectively interact with guests in person and over the phone, providing clear and professional assistance.
- Organization: Manage and prioritize tasks efficiently, maintaining a well-organized office environment.
- Problem-Solving: Approach challenges with innovative solutions and a positive attitude.
- Attention to Detail: Ensure accuracy in data entry, documentation, and other administrative tasks.
- Project Coordination: Assist in managing and completing multiple projects, meeting deadlines as required. Responsibility through taking ownership of assigned tasks
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Guest Relations: Greet and assist guests in person, email and via phone, providing information and directing them to appropriate departments or staff when needed.
- Administrative Support: Handle various administrative tasks including data entry, scheduling appointments using Google Calendar, and managing correspondence.
- Project Management: Support the HR department with ongoing projects, ensuring timely completion and effective coordination.
- Problem-Solving: Address and resolve inquiries or issues, utilizing creative thinking to find solutions and streamline processes.
- Information Management: Assist with maintaining and updating departmental records, documentation, and systems.
- Special Projects: Undertake special projects as assigned by the HR team, demonstrating flexibility and initiative.
- Pulling required information out of various systems as needed
- Update department website
- Order flowers for qualified employee events
Qualifications:
- Strong research and analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and a willingness to learn.
- Current enrollment in a relevant academic program (e.g., Business and Management Studies, Statistics and Data Science, Economics and Psychology).

Prerequisites:
- Student employment positions must have a work award on file to be eligible to participate in the work study program. Upper class man with previous office experience preferred.
