Summer Camp Bus Driver
St. Petersburg Christian School provides a private, Christ-centered education to students in grades K-8. The school is currently seeking applicants to join our team in the Summer Camp program as a bus driver. This opportunity is a temporary summer position:
Training and Orientation: Week of May 29
Camp Week 1: Week of June 5
Camp Week 2: Week of June 12
Camp Week 3: Week of June 19
Camp Week 4: Week of June 26
Camp Week 5: Week of July 10
Camp Week 6: Week of July 17
Camp Week 7: Week of July 24
Applicants must meet the following qualifications:
- Be able to pass a Level II background screening and drug test.
- Given that this is a faith-based organization, candidates will be required to complete a statement of faith, outlining their personal testimony of their relationship and growth in Christ.
- Possess a CDL Class B with Passenger and School Bus Endorsements and required DOT medical card.
- Clean driving record.
- Maintain flexibility with job hours (ie. some trips are in the morning hours while others may be after lunch.)
Job Responsibilities:
- Transport students and staff from the school’s campus to scheduled activities and back.
- Obey all traffic laws.
- Ensure the safety of all passengers at all times.
- All other duties which may be related to the role of a bus driver as requested by the Director.
The school privately owns 11 row school buses and will maintain responsibility in all maintenance for the safe operations of the vehicles.
