Full-Time, 40 Hrs/Week AM Shifts JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for coordinating adequate and appropriate staffing for Medical/Surgical and Telemetry departments, based on service and hospital needs. In addition, responsible for performing various administrative, secretarial and clerical duties. Performs various administrative, secretarial and clerical duties. Understands and follows the organization's policies, procedures, and standards. Is an independent worker, meeting the day-to-day needs of the department. Participates in the department's performance improvement activities. Duties and Responsibilities 1. Develops and coordinates staffing schedules to meet individual needs of the Medical/Surgical and Telemetry departments. 2. Coordinates and makes adjustments to the department schedules as required based on census and staff availability. 3. Publishes reports and staffing schedules on a regular basis within the required time frames. 4. Maintains an organized and efficient filing system for education and orientation records for the Medical/Surgical Department and competency files. 5. Responsible for establishing staffing patterns and schedules for employees. 6. Reviews and edits all written materials 7. Records, prepares, and distributes meeting minutes. 8. Assists in securing personnel for absences, etc., adjusting schedules as required 9. Assists department manager and supervisor with JB Dev adjustments and entries. 10. Maintains Medical/Surgical and Telemetry staff records on vacation, sick leave, leave of absence, holidays, excused and unexcused absences. 11. Maintains and updates department bulletin boards and files on the unit. 12. Maintains employee mailboxes/files. 13. All other job-related duties as assigned or required by the Manager or Supervisor.

Required Qualification: EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING 1. High School Graduate preferred 2. Secretarial training preferred 3. Minimum three years experience in an acute hospital preferred. 4. Nursing experience preferred. 4. Ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing 5.
