Warehouse Associate

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Inspect incoming freight shipments, checking for damage and correct quantities.

Unload and open/unpack incoming product from small package and freight carriers.

Read and understand supplier packing slips, product EDPs, product descriptions, etc.

• Receive incoming small package, freight, product return, and transfer shipments with scanners and, if necessary, in Prophet 21.

• Sort pick tickets prior to picking process.

*

• Pick and pack customer stock and nonstock orders.

*

• Pick and pack vendor returns.

*

• Put away stock and clear receiving tables.

*

• Properly prepare items for shipment.

*

• Ship small package and freight shipments.

*

• Use scanner to receive, pick, cycle count, move material, etc.

*

• Perform cycle counting in an accurate and timely manner.

*

• Label and file/scan packing slips, shipping claims, and truck/delivery bills.

*

• Understand and use lot tracking when required.

*

• Ability to run pick ticket and transfer scans.

*

• Troubleshoot and solve problems arising during warehouse operations (such as missing
• supplier packing lists, over/under shipments, etc.)

*

• Operate and be certified in the use of a forklift and powered pallet jack.

*

• Understand and adhere to warehouse safety procedures.

*

• Be familiar with SDS information for required stock items.

*

• General knowledge of HazMat handling.

*

• Make deliveries to customers as needed.

*

• Maintain clean orderly warehouse.

*

• Respond to internal and external emails, phone calls, and requests in a timely manner.

*

• Understand and process international shipments.

*

• Understand and implement production order processes.

*

• Understand and properly maintain the nonconforming material process.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• High School Diploma or G.E.D.

• Warehouse Experience preferred

*

• Organizational skills and strong attention to detail

*

• Team communication skills

*

• Some lifting up to 75 lbs

*

• Forklift Certified Preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
