What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dining Room Technician position at St. Vincent de Paul?
Come join the St. Vincent de Paul Dining Room Staff and support the program that provides meals to those in need in our community. The Dining Room Technician provides a variety of important food preparation, food storage and stock management functions, espicially focused on the dining room set-up, service and cleaning.
Job Responsibilities
- The technician welcomes, serves and interacts with a wide variety of dining room donors, guests, community members and St. VIncent de Paul Staff;
- Provides support for the brown bag snack program by setting up the supplies, greeting and interacting with the volunteers; store the prepared snack bags for use during the lunch program;
- Accepts food deliveries and thank the donors; process the food by following operating procedures for accepting food donations and ensuring a safe work environment;
- Manages taking out the trash for the dining room and kitchen throughout the work day;
- Maintains Dining Room cleanliness before, during and after the lunchtime meal service;
- Must be able to communicate in a courteous way and represent our company in a positive manner;
- Assist with seasonal programs;
- Must be able to lift 50 - 75 pounds.
- Be Prompt and dependable to colleagues and customers
Job Type: part-time: Tuesday, Thursday and every other weekend.
