Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, mission-oriented Systems Administrator, SolarWinds in the Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling in the Washington DC area to provide unparalleled support to our customer and to begin an exciting and rewarding career within ManTech. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Provide support for proactive network monitoring solutions based on a SolarWinds implementation. Provide server-side support for SolarWinds application to include patching, troubleshooting, and general maintenance for a HyperV-based virtual instance. Responsible for the day-to-day operations of network monitoring solution to include the design, planning and execution of the solution to new and existing systems. Install, test, maintain, troubleshoot, upgrade, and document the enterprise network and system monitoring tools such as SolarWinds. Diagnose and resolve network performance and/or technical challenges. Configure SolarWinds to monitor all network objects, servers, and appliances across domains. Work with support teams to ensure back-end services such as database, physical host, and other requirements are met to ensure NMS system uptime and availability. Basic Qualifications: Minimum 4 years of SolarWinds experience. Minimum 4 years virtual server administration experience, to include understanding of Microsoft Windows Server. Solid understanding of Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) and configuration of network and endpoint device configuration to allow for monitoring of network performance and alerting. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, or other related scientific or technical discipline. Possess exceptional customer service and communication skills (both written and verbal). Must possess 1 or more of the following certifications: Security , Network , OR able to obtain within 6 months of start date. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Microsoft Hyper-V or VMWare Cluster Management. Security Clearance Requirement: Must possess an active Top Secret (TS) clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Eligibility. Physical Requirements: Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing/walking/talking and must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%. Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one work site to another. Constantly positions self to maintain computers in the lab, including under the desks and in the server closet. Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer. Must be able to detect, Determine, Perceive, Identify, Recognize, Judge, Observe, Inspect, Estimate, & Assess. The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations. Working with computers.
