Maintenance Supervisor
Your tasks
As a Maintenance Supervisor you will supervise the operation and maintenance of Train Protection Systems (Carborne & Wayside) and associated equipment system wide. If you are an experienced Maintenance Supervisor who wants to be part of a team that builds high quality, state of the art passenger trains and signaling solutions, this is the career for you!
Key Responsibilities
• Responsible for planning, scheduling and supervising employees, involved in preventative and corrective maintenance programs and related in-house signal system upgrade projects across the system.
• Make frequent inspections of all signal facilities, supervise cutovers, final inspections and testing of all modified and new signal systems.
• Ensure that all work is performed in a timely and cost-effective manner.
• Observe condition of equipment, work in progress and ensure the safe operation of all systems.
• Coordinate training programs necessary for maintenance of signal equipment. Support successful execution of all Testing and Commissioning activities for wayside Signaling system.
• Maintain all procedures, reports and records for safety audits by the Department of Public Utilities (DPU)
• Respond or report to work as directed by supervisory personnel for emergencies, extreme weather conditions, or any other abnormal conditions that impair service or the safety of service, twenty-four (24) hour, seven (7) day per week basis
Your profile
Qualifications
• 5 years' experience in rail signal construction and maintenance including experience in the installation, maintenance and repair of wayside block signal systems, supervisory control system and automatic train control systems, automatic vehicle identification and other ancillary systems which make up a complete signal system.
• At least two years of supervisory experience managing a team including but not limited to motivating and performance management
• High school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D) from an accredited institution with the ability to comprehend, communicate and respond to instructions, orders, signs, notices, inquires, etc. in English
• Effective organizational, analytical skills; and handle information with complete discretion
• Willingness to travel and work nights and weekends depending on customer need including during emergency response situations
• Confident appearance in dealing with internal and external stakeholders
