What are the responsibilities and job description for the RN - OR (Neuro) - SFMC position at Staff Today Inc?
General job duties. Types of procedures required.
Neurology surgery experience is must - RN will be primary circulating Spine, craniotomies and spinal cord generator placement procedures.
Circulator will set up OR, assist anestheisa, interview and retrieve patient from pre-op, circulate/document procedure, assist in emergence from anethesia and handoff patient o PACU
Equipment utilized in the unit/dept.
Epic, PACs, Pyxis. Neuro specific equipment famaliar with OR table, jackson/Mizuho table.
Required skills and minimum years of experience.
Minimum 1 year in Neurology surgery(Not neuro bedside floor)
Specific licensures and certifications/registrations required.

Shift or schedule requirements.
0700-1530 Monday- Friday. No Weekends 1 -2 nights of call a week 1530-0700
Floating to other units/departments.
Not likely due to short staffing
Bed size/number of rooms for this unit/dept.
Neuro surgery runs 4 OR completing approx 175 cases a month
Nurse to patient ratio of this unit. (nursing only)
