What are the responsibilities and job description for the Air Export Agent position at Staffmark Group?
Staffmark is in search of a meticulous and customer-centric Air Export Agent to bolster our team in Elk Grove Village, IL. As an Air Export Agent, you'll play a pivotal role in coordinating and executing shipments to uphold exceptional customer service standards and ensure compliance with governmental regulations.
Pay: $22 to $25 per hour based on experience.
Shift Availability: 1st shift with possible overtime on Saturdays.
As an Air Export Agent, your responsibilities encompass coordinating and executing shipments to meet customer requirements and deadlines. You'll maintain constant communication channels with customers, carriers, overseas agents, and vendors to ensure seamless operations. Additionally, you'll enforce strict adherence to TSA and government regulations, including AES guidelines, while also overseeing accounting processes such as rate calculations, price conversions, profit and loss analysis, and buying/selling rates to uphold profitability standards.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated work ethic and commitment to excellence.
- Positive attitude, strong attention to detail, exceptional customer service, and effective multitasking abilities.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent, minimum 3 years of relevant exporting experience or equivalent education and experience.
- Knowledge of air and/or truck freight movement, familiarity with TSA and Government Agency requirements, and Hazmat shipping regulations.
- DG (Dangerous Goods) certification preferred but not required with the ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- 2-3 years of Cargo experience required; certification preferred but not mandatory.
- 3-5 years of A to Z, Air Export Freight Forwarding experience.
- Strong communication skills with a proactive approach and basic TSA and Export Compliance knowledge.
