What are the responsibilities and job description for the Category Specialist position at Staffmark Group?
Food Service product manufacturer is looking for a Category Specialist. This is a Direct Hire opportunity. The Category Specialist will primarily responsible for supporting vendor contract rebates, promotions and/or discounts and updating supplier cost changes and new product entry for the marketing category. Relationship management, setting up agreements under the direction of the Category Manager and monitoring inventory for the products assigned to and reviewing pricing variances. You would also act as the key category contact for the digital asset management database and company source book, digital merchandising.

Requirements:
-Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Merchandising, Business or Communications preferred
- 2 years of professional work experience such as marketing, merchandising, supply chain, ecommerce, purchasing or related
-Proficient with Microsoft Office
-Ability to problem solve, multitask, and work efficiently in a fast paced environment.
-Excellent communication skills.
-Experience with SAP a plus
