What are the responsibilities and job description for the Driver Dispatcher position at Staffmark Group?
We are now hiring for a Driver Dispatcher
We have openings for 3rd shift 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.
Responsible for:
-
Managing driver route assignments
-
Ensuring compliance with DOT regulations/Hours of Service
- Driver dispatch
- DOT Log review / Hours of Service
- Maintaining shipment information and ensure paperwork is turned in timely
- Managing phones and other admin duties as needed.
- First point of contact for any collisions or injuries
- Assisting with warehouse needs such as, shrink wrapping, verifying labels, and QC checks on receivables.
- Maintain employee/driver attendance and vacation records

Requirements:
- High School diploma
- Valid License
- Proficiency with MS Office Systems
- Experience working in a Transportation environment
- Forklift certified
- Ability to lift or move up to 50lbs
- DOT, OSHA and FMCSA knowledge with a minimum of 2 years' experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of local markets
- Ability to demonstrate leadership and initiative.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide
- Data entry skills
- Must demonstrate excellent communication skills and professionalism when dealing with customers
