Staffmark has an outstanding opportunity for a motivated individual to fill a Forklift Operator position with a logistics company in Melrose Park, IL.
We are currently staffing for 2nd shift, 4 : 00pm to 12 : 30am, with a starting pay rate of $18.00 per hour. The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of sit-down forklift experience, experience in freight forwarding operation, and RF scanning experience.
Daily tasks include :
- Consolidating of freight, picking, counting cargo, product and material and hand staging, loading goods.
- Use of forklift once fully trained and certified, manual equipment such as hand truck or pallet jack may also be used.
- Coordinate receipt, storage, and distribution of materials, tools, equipment, and products within assigned area.
- Prepare and assemble orders, move materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other areas.
- Complete or verify appropriate forms, documents, labels, and other information to ensure the accuracy of inventory, monitor and track material and successful receiving and / or delivery of goods;
involves knowledge of several operations or varied goods and services.
