Stores Clerk
DESCRIPTION:
Responsible for the physical receipt, data entry, and transaction transfers of inventory, consumables and other goods. Responsible for the accurate maintenance of receiving logs transfer logs and accurate data entry of all inventory transactions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Maintain all related clerical records and computer transactions in connection with all inventory items received, moved, and issued
- Uses the computer for data entry, running reports for cross-checking inventory balances, and stock status for on-hand balances before materials are issued
- Assists level 1 stockroom clerks with challenging issues and have the ability to troubleshoot discrepancies
- Conduct daily cycle counts, perform full physical inventory from start to post, including entering counts
- Understands and works from material lists and inventory control records
- Knowledge of MRP
- Ability to recognize and fulfill job shortages when receiving parts
- Receive, sort and organize received parts and put them away neatly in their respective locations
- Interacts with Planners and Customer Service via email or verbally to insure all orders are processed correctly and shipped on requested day
- Comply with applicable environmental, health and safety laws and regulations, Company policy and accepted safe work practices
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 3-5 years of experience
- Inventory / Stockroom experience
- Work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Finish work assigned in an accurate and timely manner
