Primary Function: The Assembler 1 manufactures and assembles a variety of configurations of mechanical and basic electrical assemblies used in electrical distribution systems
Job Description:
- Read shop drawings and wiring diagrams
- Read Bills of Materials (BOMs) to determine component parts and assembly sequences of electromechanical units
- Make electrical connections according to specifications
- Assemble parts, and position, align, and fasten assemblies, subassemblies, using hand tools and power tools.
- Modify parts by drilling, tapping, countersinking, etc. machine tools, power and pneumatic hand tools.
- Position, align, and adjust parts for proper fit and assembly.
- Measure parts to determine tolerances, using tape measures and precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers. -
- Attach labels and mark identifying information on parts.
- Adhere to all company policies, guidelines and practices including the SECRIT values.
- Cross training to work in other functional department of the plant
- Other duties as assigned by management.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
- Tool selection
- Determining the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a job.
- Oral Comprehension
- The ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
- Ability to operate cordless hand tools, power tools and pneumatic tools. -
- Ability to read shop drawings and wiring diagrams preferred.
- Ability to read standard tape measure.
- Ability to work in a cohesive team environment.
Requirements:
- H.S Diploma or G.E.D
- Must be able to clear a 7 year more lenient background check and 10 panel mouth swab drug screening.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs. occasionally
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs. often.
- Fin precisely coordinated movements of the fingers of one or both hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble very small objects.
- Manual Dexterity
- The ability to quickly move hand, hand together with arm, or two hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects.
- Arm-Hand Steadiness
- The ability to keep hand and arm steady while moving arm or while holding arm and hand in one position.
- Vision
- The ability to see details at a close range and have the ability to tell the difference in the colors of wires.

Hours: 1st shift: 7:00 am - 3:30 pm
2nd shift: 3:00 pm- 11:00 pm
3rd shift: 11:00 pm - 7:00 am
Pay: $15.50- $16.50/hr.
Job Type: Full-time
