MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB:
This position is responsible for identifying and reporting opportunities for improvement; and executing, once approved, recommendations. Manage and provide leadership for EHS and lean improvement efforts. Assisting with all Environmental Health and Safety activities for the site. The incumbent will manage and perform activities necessary to maintain the facilities and grounds to support a safe and clean working environment that meet all, FDA, and ISO regulations. Additionally, the incumbent will identify and report opportunities for improvement; and once approved, coordinate and manage execution of recommendations. POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Knowledge/Education:
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent
• Technical or Vocational degree preferred
Job Experience:
• 3 years of EHS and related experience reporting to Federal, State and Local authorities.
• ASP, CSP, CEM or related experience preferred or equivalent
. • Experience in medical devise or other related industry preferred
• Knowledge of FDA QSR, ISO13485 and ISO14971 Risk Assessment preferred
• Must have in-depth working knowledge of UBC, UFC, NEC and ADA regulations / codes. Skills/Competencies:
• Customer service attitude required.
• Must be self-motivated and be able to work independently while exercising sound judgment
. • Able to spot problems and jobs that need to be completed.
• Ability to read, understand and follow Specification Sheets.
• Ability to think strategically and critically analyze details. • Capable of making decisions and communicating to team members.
• Demonstrated leadership ability.
• Must be highly organized and capable of functioning in a team environment.
• Valid Driver’s license.
• Strong communication skills – verbal and written
• Strong interpersonal skills.
Physical Requirements:
• Moderate to significant amounts of bending, lifting, twisting and sitting.
• Moderate to significant periods of standing and walking.
• Must be willing and able to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including but not limited to steel toed shoes.
Salary : $50,000 - $65,000
