Master Data Administrative Associate
The Master Data Associate’s primary function is to administer daily transactional Master Data into COMPANY ERP systems. The position will partner with other key areas of the business ensuring that end users are provided with timely, accurate and reliable master data for processing day-to-day business transactions. This role will support COMPANY North America Direct and Indirect business areas.
Responsibilities:
· Daily oversight and execution of the Tax Exemption mailbox.
· Customer Care’s primary contact for tax resolution at the time of processing orders.
- Process daily tax exemption in ERP system(s) ensuring compliance with COMPANY policy, procedures and timelines.
- Ensure customer tax exemption is properly validated and accurately processed in COMPANY’s ERP system(s).
- Daily review of tax hold report to ensure timely resolution.
- Trouble shoot, resolve and/or escalate ERP system issues.
- Complete entry of all bid contracts into ERP
- Assist in proactive tax exemption certificate collection and reporting
- Support Finance with documentation for state audit requests
- Develops knowledge and relationships with interdependent functional areas in support of developing a solid understanding of master data and how it interfaces in other areas. E.g. Marketing, Sales and Customer Care.
- Assists department Manager with maintaining SOX and external audit requirements within the department
- Provides support to the department Manager in documenting and maintaining procedures and policies.
- Will work with an eye towards continuous process improvement opportunities.
- Backup other Master Data tasks within department as assigned
- Provides other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Associates Degree or 1-year equivalent experience in data entry/ master data
- SAP and/ or Vertex experience preferred
- Strong organizational skills with a disciplined approach to managing processes on a day-to-day basis respecting defined procedures and policies.
- Strong data entry skills and experience.
- Excellent and effective oral and written communication, multitasking and creative skills.
- Must be detailed oriented with a sense of urgency while maintaining accuracy and timeliness.
- Must be able to perform both independently and in a team environment.
- MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) skills required
