What are the responsibilities and job description for the Supply Planning Supervisor position at Staffworks?
The Supply Planning Lead has the overall responsibility for overseeing the daily supply chain planning functions including production planning, materials procurement, inventory management. Key Accountabilities
• Implement controls to follow up purchase orders, issue change notices, and catalog supplier’s prices and quotations in an efficient manner.
• Coordinate communication between operating departments and suppliers to ensure that pertinent information is disseminated accurately and efficiently.
• Prepare data for pressing claims against suppliers as the result of damaged or faulty goods and negotiate settlement
. • Translate sales forecasts and orders into long and short-term material planning and procurement. • Preview and update Change document control requests for - material usage, lead times, product yields, and operation routings. Control the implementation of new product CDCs with respect to purchased parts in the Bill of Materials.
• Monitor related costs as a method of aiding attainment of inventory objectives.
• Maintain SAP requirements for MRP execution (PO Maint., Material Master Data, Requisition to PO conversion, Planning Table Maint.)
• Formulate and administer inventory control guidelines for stocking levels, safety stock and receipt of materials.
• On a monthly basis, review case fill rate and failure tree, reasons for rejection, freshness gate out and stock coverage (days of inventory)
• Work on priorities with the different repack sites

• Manage bulk availability and coverage
• Assist in the Supplier Approval program.
• Follows all safety & GMP rules and regulations.
Skills and Experience
• Comprehensive knowledge of a wide range of packaging materials. Across flexible films, rigid plastics, paper & board materials are widely used.
• Ability of solving problems faced which are often complex and require extensive investigation and analysis.
• Experience in manufacturing.
• Knowledge of SAP and Microsoft office products.
• Project Management skills and track record of effective delivery against KPIs. 5-7 years in Packaging Development and project management related role in FMCG/FDM.
