What are the responsibilities and job description for the Welder position at Staffworks?
Summary of responsibilities: perform a variety of hand and machine fusion welding (Mig and Tig) operations to construct powder containers.
Qualifications:
• 1-2 years of welding experience
• Must be US Citizen due to federal contracts
• Working knowledge of fusion welding
• Computer skills (general use and Microsoft Office)
• Clear understanding of shop mathematics involving decimal and fractions
• Ability to work alone with little supervision
• Ability to problem solve minor fabrication and equipment issues
• Ability to lift to 25lbs independently
• Must be physically capable of bending, lifting, squatting, twisting, overhead reaching, standing for long periods, and climbing stairs
Essential Functions:
• Prepare all parts to be fitted for fabrication (grinding, polishing, and cleaning)
• Perform routine maintenance work on equipment
Job Type: temp to hire
Pay rate: $22-28 per hour
Schedule:
Friday to Sunday 7pm – 7am
