Role:
As a Controller for Stage 1 Financial, you will be responsible for providing excellent client service as well as coordinating with our team of CPA’s and MBA’s to deliver end-to-end accounting and financial services. You will be responsible for the full accounting and financial services provided to our clients, which includes providing strategic financial support to clients.

Management & Leadership Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic financial guidance and operational support to our client owners and senior leadership team.
- Manage a steady client base and attend regular face-to-face meetings with the client, reviewing current and future needs.
- Implementation and onboarding of new clients, performing integration processes and getting Stage 1 fully integrated efficiently and effectively.
- Collaborate and coach staff consisting of Accounting Managers, Finance Managers, and Staff.
- Review recurring and project based client work before reporting the documents to the client.
- Analyze client internal financial operations and activities and locate areas of improvement.
Client Services Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain portfolio of clients with the support of Accounting Managers, Finance Managers and Staff Accountants
- Oversee the month end close and review the work product of the Accounting Managers.
- Oversee the financial analysis, modeling, benchmarks for each client.
- Provide oversight in treasury management, cash flow and spending.
- Oversee compliance issues such as insurance, tax compliance and industry specific compliance requirements.
- Perform due diligence process for fund raising activities.
- Provide client support through annual or quarterly audits.
Requirements:
- Previous professional services experience as controller or accounting manager required
- Multi-Unit or Franchise experience preferred
- Previous early stage growth company/ start-up experience
- Experience in month end close, regular reporting requirements and financial modeling.
- Ability to be flexible and highly responsive to client needs and requests
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Experience leading a team required
Compensation:
