What you'll be doing:
The Warehouse Team Lead helps oversee the accurate receipt, put away, and retrieval of inventory and timely shipping of products. The Warehouse Team Lead ensures workplace health and safety requirements ae met and takes responsibility for the security of the building and inventory. The Warehouse Team Leader helps plan the organization of raw materials and finished goods within the warehouse and oversees projects to improve efficiency and inventory accuracy. A proactive approach is paramount. He/she ensures productivity targets are met and runs reports and maintains metric surroundings these productivity targets. He/she also maintain accurate records in the MRP system. The Warehouse Team Lead assists in managing teams of workers, directing specific tasks, and projects.
- Motivating, organizing, and encouraging teamwork within the workforce to ensure set productivity targets are met.
- Training staff and monitoring their performance and progress.
- Communicating with other departments, staff groups, and customers.
- Overseeing receiving, inventory control, and shipping personnel and process.
- Ensuring quality, delivery, and budget objectives are met.
- Ensuring the health, safety cleanliness and security of the work environment.
- Delivering and fulfilling objectives and directions from operation's leadership.
- Responding to and dealing with Sales and Customer communications.
- Keeping inventory control systems (MRP) up to date and planning future capacity requirements.
- Producing regular reports and statistics on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
- Briefing team members on the issues for that particular day.
- Responding to Operations, Sales, and Customer issues related to the quality of service they are receiving.
- Oversee the planned maintenance of vehicles, machinery, and equipment.
- Oversee ad-hoc projects to improve warehouse functions and organization.
What we are looking for:
- Excellent working knowledge of ERP systems or Warehouse Management programs.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Working knowledge of key reports.
- Analytical skill set to prepare and present inventory, shipping and receiving reports to management.
