Duties and Responsibilities
- Support, foster, promote, and demonstrate Stairtek’s Core Values; Whatever it Takes, High Standards, Open to Change, and Think Like a Customer.
- Work with Cross Functional teams to improve Supply Chain KPIs such as on hold inventory, substitutions, slow moving, and Inventory Turns.
- Manage coordination of all outgoing shipments including direct from Stairtek, vendor direct shipments to customers, and local customer pickups.
- Assist supply chain specialist by performing inventory cycle counts as needed to ensure inventory accuracy > 95%.
- Assist in production related activities such as order picking, shipping, receiving, bulk order processing, and other warehouse duties as needed. Perform miscellaneous system transactions including transferring return material back into on-hand inventory.
- Function as forklift and forklift safety trainer.
- Manage and coordinate the logistical processes for bulk order distribution including labeling, palletizing, truck loading strategies, and shipping arrangements from shipment ready to shipment delivered status.
- Perform ordering and securement of plant consumables and assist in supply chain planning and material fulfillment.
- Lead and assist in production initiatives with other departments to ensure products are shipped in a timely manner.
- Assist with scheduling trucks for deliveries and order shipments.
- Manage and work within both internal and external software’s and programs related to shipping and logistics platforms.
- Oversee incoming materials and ensure proper labeling, inspection, and receipt into inventory systems.
- Coordinate and order miscellaneous supplies and other consumable products.
- All other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Experience
- Must have at least one (1) year of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
- Must have knowledge of program management, materials management, contracting, scheduling, and manufacturing is highly recommended
- Must have experience with a computer MRP system for managing materials receipt and distribution.
- Must have strong skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Must have excellent interpersonal skills.
- Must have strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Must be willing to learn and grow within the organization.
- Must have the ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment.
- Must have the ability to identify problems and execute solutions.
- Must have the ability to successfully interact with coworkers to exchange information about task and coordination of work.
- Experience with SAGE 100 preferred.
Academic / Educational Requirements
- A High School Diploma, GED or equivalent experience is required.
- A Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
Working Conditions
- Must be able to move throughout all areas of the plant(s) as required to perform duties.
- Must be able to lift 50lbs.
