Job Description

As the Shipping Clerk you will be responsible for tracking inventory levels, handling all aspects of shipping and receiving, and keeping accurate records. On the shipping side, you will package items, print labels, weigh packages, and determine appropriate postage. Your duties will extend to inspecting for damaged goods and once approved distributing packages to the correct departments.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Receives merchandise - Checks and signs delivery slips and assist with unloading as necessary
  • Accepts or returns merchandise according to established company procedures.
  • Knows safe storage and handling procedures for incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Knows proper shipping procedures for transportation of goods.
  • Takes inventory, maintenance storage area, organizers, and places stock on shelves.
  • Picks, packs, and ships over 40 - 100 packages daily using either UPS, FedEx, USPS, or any other parcel service.

Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: Two years of related experience.
  • Proficient in using WorldShip, SendSuite and StarShip a plus
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent organization and administrative skills
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong computer skills
  • Detail-oriented and multitasking skills

Schedule

  • 4-hour shift
  • Monday to Friday

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.50 - $18.00 per hour
