TITLE: Director, Credit Analyst
LOCATION: New York, NY
DUTIES:
Responsible for supporting an assigned portfolio of clients within the International Corporates segment. Preparing high quality submissions for assigned clients, assessing a wide variety of counterparty, transaction, and general risk issues by using both quantitative and qualitative methods and prepare corresponding detailed credit analysis on accounts covering financial risk, transactional, structural, industrial risk, and management risks. Completing annual reviews via Group Mandate and Business Credit Application. Proposing counterparty Credit Grades via the relevant scorecard. Work with Global Account Manager and Field Account Manager teams to improve the management of limits and exposures across geographies. On-going monitoring of market, industry data and credit-material events. Testing and monitoring covenants and risk triggers and tracking the evolution of client performance and risk profile over time. Ensuring timely identification of accounts to be placed in Early Alert as per bank’s policies and guidelines. Coordinating and conducting Stress Tests and portfolio review exercises for periodic check on the health of the portfolio. Preparing other analysis, such as Industry specific reviews and portfolio reviews. Discussing the dynamics and nature of the Client’s industry, competitive positioning, including key risk aspects. Conducting periodic portfolio reviews of assigned segment/industry to assess creditworthiness and initiating ad hoc reviews for clients subject to adverse news or vulnerable to specific economic, market or regulatory events. Support business growth by participating in underwriting of new deals and credit assessment for new clients. Plan and implement the overall credit process for assigned portfolios with respect to assessments of risks, credit papers, credit grades, as well as monitoring credit events. Ensuring compliance with all internal and regulatory credit / portfolio related policies.
Candidate Requirements:
Must have a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a related field, plus seven (7) years ofprogressively responsible experience in the position offered or a related position. Must have seven (7) years of experience with all of the following: Assessing income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements across different industries; Assessing the credit risk of large corporate clients; Conducting complex credit analysis on accounts covering financial risk, transactional risk, structural risk, industrial risk, and management risk; Assessing financial solutions and product characteristics and risks across lending and trade finance; Utilizing quantitative methods and tools supporting credit risk measurement, including financial models in Excel; and Creating projection models in Microsoft Excel for expected future Cash Flow, Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet statements.
HOURS: Full time; Mon – Fri (40 hours per week) EOE.
