Job Overview:
The host/hostess greets and welcomes guests, seats tables, and maximizes selling potential of restaurant area.
Reports To:
General Manager of restaurant on duty, Maitre D’

· Restaurant customers and hotel guests/visitors

Essential:
· Physical:
o Able to spend majority of shift upright on feet
o Periodical bending, kneeling, and stretching
o Able to pull, push, carry and lift at least 30 pounds of force
o Able to hear and speak clearly to communicate with guests and co-workers
· Understanding: Ability to read, comprehend and carry out instructions according to established procedures
· Comprehension: Fluent in the English language
· Organizational Skills: Work efficiently, utilize multi-tasking, prioritize tasks
· Hygiene and Sanitation: Adherence to uniform, grooming and personal hygiene standards and expectations per Standard of Operating Procedures
· Punctuality: Adherence to posted schedule and arrival time and attendance at mandatory meetings Responsibility: Personal comportment in line with Standard, New York policies, standards, and expectations
· Have worked previously with reservation system like Opentable and Sevenrooms

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:
· Greet and welcome guests
· Walk said guests to respective table
· Ensure that the tables are properly set up
· Organize reservations on sheet and call back any messages
· Confirm reservations and effectively fill reservation sheet maximizing seating potential
· Control and coordinate all tables in designated section
· Inform relevant server and busser of table reservations
· Give seated guests both food and drinks list
· Ensure menus are in perfect condition before presented to guest
· Responsible to keep menu inventory and printing menus daily
· Attend F&B meetings
· Perform other duties as required
