We have a role for a Marketing Specialist available to support our Infrastructure and Environmental Services group on our growing team, with an emphasis on Transportation. The successful candidate will be detail oriented and have the confidence and background needed to collaborate with our practitioners at a strategic level. They will possess a background in marketing, communications and writing, and be a leader and a team player who can own the pursuit process, communicate with conviction, and maneuver in a competitive, deadline-driven environment.

Your Key Responsibilities

As a vital part of our connected and energetic regional marketing and communications team, you’ll prepare high-impact proposals and communications that highlight our depth of experience, expertise, and creativity. You’ll work closely with our technical project managers and pursuit teams to create compelling messages that convey Stantec's strengths and set us apart, coordinate strategic, competitive client-facing pursuit strategies and materials, and other communications in alignment with the Stantec brand.

Additional Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To

• Contributing to Stantec’s external digital marketing and communications networks, in collaboration with other marketing team members and our public relations team.
• Participating in client development and account management efforts.
• Helping to maintain Stantec’s internal systems for information management related to people and projects, pursuits, and promotional activity.
• Storytelling in support of positioning and brand reputation; focusing on thought leaders and influencers, key accounts, and market trends.

Qualifications

Your Capabilities and Credentials

• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven experience in researching, coordinating and developing responses to detailed client requests including Requests for Qualifications and Proposals (RFQs/RFPs).
• Detail-oriented and organized, with exceptional prioritization skills.
• Design-focused, with a good eye for compelling digital and print design.
• Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign in particular), and web-based interfaces.
• Must have the ability to work independently, as well as in collaboration with a larger regional team.
• Candidate should enjoy working with different personality styles and management levels, both in person and within a physically dispersed team.
• Must feel comfortable working in a deadline-driven environment.
• Confident communicating with individuals across all levels of the organization.
• Experience developing responses to detailed requests for proposals/qualifications (RFP/Qs).
• Experience creating presentations and marketing collateral.

Education And Experience

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in marketing within the A/E/C or comparable industry.
• Experience working with Transportation agencies in Illinois is preferred.
• Post-secondary degree in marketing, communications, English, journalism, or related area is preferred.
