In this role, you’ll coordinate high-impact proposals and communications that highlight our depth of experience, expertise, and creativity. Along with your marketing team partners, you’ll be working closely with leadership to create competitive strategies and compelling messages that convey Stantec's strengths and differentiators, in addition to coordination of strategic client facing events, materials, and other communications in alignment with the Stantec brand. Your Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage proposal submissions from commencement to conclusion, including pre-positioning, storyboarding, leading strategic assessment sessions, coordination of scheduling and deliverables, content generation touchpoints, and review periods through to submittal, client presentations and debrief.
- Researcher and a persuasive writer. Demonstrate strong research skills into markets, sectors, competitors, and potential targets, with an ability to translate information into insight to fuel winning strategies and compelling and tailored narratives.
- Sourcing, compiling, and editing proposal and marketing collateral content. Convert and integrate technical content provided by various authors and subject matter experts into a cohesive, compelling, and well-written narratives and proposal documents that are aligned with Stantec’s unique value propositions and win themes.
- Manage the needs of a diverse practitioner team with varying priorities.
- Deploy successful promotional and marketing campaigns which highlight our depth of experience and expertise, directing implementation from ideation and content creation to execution.
- Facilitate proactive business development and client outreach initiatives through virtual and digital platforms.
- Grow brand position via the planning and implementation of a robust thought leadership, design excellence, and creativity program.
- Oversee direction of Stantec.com pages specific to the sector/discipline including content development, sector landing pages, spotlight pages, and enhanced expert pages.
- Work in partnership with PR and regional marketing team members to develop campaigns which feature people / projects / creativity and enhance the Stantec brand.
- Maintenance and advocacy for Stantec marketing systems and sound record keeping for internal information management.
- Partner with the Account Management team to drive key client growth strategies, develop and maintain an up-to-date Client Plan with action items, zipper plan, positioning milestones, and team responsibilities.
- Work with business developers on Capture Plans that include a pursuit schedule with milestones, research needs, action items for positioning, strategic teaming, and responsibilities.
- Serve in a quality control capacity during the preparation and review of proposal materials developed by the marketing team with specific emphasis on brand alignment, relevance, accuracy, and timely delivery.
- Facilitate internal and external debrief meetings following project wins/losses.
- Coordination of project photography shoots.
- Work closely with Marketing Resources, Promotional/Programs Manager, and function as a key contact for marketing photography services on behalf of the Region; including but not limited to advance documentation, e.g., client permission, Project Profiles, detailed photography requirements, and site accompaniment.
- Execute positioning campaigns that include traditional and social media, and conventional and emerging digital marketing tactics.
- Assist in the development and coordination of regional content for Stantec's communications systems and tools including the Stantec Marketing Knowledge Center (SMKC), stantec.com, Stantec Pipeline, The Lens, etc.
Qualifications
Your Capabilities and Credentials:
- Working knowledge of the North American A/E/C market including competitor insight and familiarity with key clients, with a focus on a diverse array of market sectors.
- Exceptional business writing skills with demonstrated experience developing engaging narrative responses to RFP's, as well as external and internal communications.
- A self-starter who is comfortable directing a technical team on the delivery of pursuits, promotional material, and business development activities including independent decision making.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- A consummate professional who is interested in developing best practices within your role.
- A diligent and detail-oriented proposal leader with exceptional prioritization skills.
- Well-honed communication, resiliency, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively independently as well as within a team.
- An active listener; critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Must thrive working in a deadline-driven environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite including lnDesign and Photoshop.
- Ability to effectively communicate with senior management, supervisors, peers, and clients, internally and externally.
Education and Experience:
- Post-secondary degree in marketing, communications, public relations, or an equivalent level of experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a marketing-related field
- Experience with the RFQ/RFP process
- Experience in the architecture/engineering/construction industry

Pay transparency laws require employers to provide the following information for positions that may be in the following jurisdiction(s):
Salary Range(s):
- $73,500 - $106,600 Min/Max Pay Range(s) for postings located in NYC/NY
The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible.
Benefits Summary: Regular full-time and part-time employees have access to medical, dental, and vision plans, a wellness program, health saving accounts, flexible spending accounts, 401(k) plan, employee stock purchase program, life and accidental death & dismemberment (AD&D) insurance, short-term/long-term disability plans, emergency travel benefits, tuition reimbursement, professional membership fee coverage and paid family leave. Regular full-time and part-time employees will receive ten paid holidays in each calendar year. In addition, employees will be eligible to accrue vacation between 10 and 20 days per year and eligible for paid sick leave (and if more generous, in accordance with state and local law).
Temporary/casual employees have access to 401(k) plans, employee stock purchase program, and paid leave, in accordance with state and local law.
