Lead the compensation strategy to ensure Staples has competitive and effective practices.
- Collaborate on the effectiveness of compensation programs. Innovate and recommend new programs, structures, and policies
- Manage compensation projects (e.g. annual focal processes, incentive plans, job evaluation, salary recommendations, etc.)
- Understand business goals and market trends to influence new approaches, policies and procedures
- Assist in the review, redesign and recommendation of compensation programs
- Provide consultation on compensation issues in recruitment, promotions, etc.
- Develop and maintain business partnerships. Serve as a consultant in strategic and tactical approaches for all Compensation areas
- Work on a variety of projects including process design, analysis and budgeting
- Create and share documentation for compensation administration and processes
- Perform compensation process maintenance, development, data integrity and administration
- Ensure compliance with FLSA and other relevant local laws and regulations

Qualifications
Essential skills and experience:
- 5+ years of progressive Compensation experience
- Experience developing and managing compensation programs and processes across the U.S.
- Demonstrated ability to manage data in Excel (e.g. Vlookup, Pivot Tables)
- Ability to partner with the Business and HRBP’s on recommendations and solutions
- Strong analytical, communication, problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to juggle many projects at once and handle confidential information with discretion
Preferred skills and experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree; CCP certification a plus
