Incorta is among the data platforms on which we deliver many critical operational reports, dashboards and self-serve analytics capabilities to Supply Chain, Finance, and Store Development business teams across the globe. As a technical product manager on the Corporate Technology BI & Analytics team, you will have end-to-end responsibility for the Strategic Value, Usability (UX), and Performance of the data platform.
As a Technical Product Manager, you will
- Maximize the value and impact of data for our Supply Chain, Finance, and Store Development business units - You will be responsible for a cross-team product roadmap. You will maintain and prioritize the product backlog to align with business priority and technology strategy by articulating the business challenges as technical user stories. You will provide governance over the data platform and enable the engineering teams to deliver analytics and business intelligence solutions efficiently while also allowing less technical personas to leverage rich insights or put together visualizations based on data without much assistance from engineers and analysts.
- Inspire and influence others and build effective relationships across technology and the business - You will propose and influence new ideas, gain alignment cross-functionally, armed with data and domain competency necessary to implement and sustain solutions. You will coordinate solutions across multiple technical teams and help resolve technical blocking issues. You will lead team members and peers in learning technical skills and business acumen.
- Define success metrics and play a crucial role in product adoption - You will define product performance and effectiveness metrics that measure and benchmark product success. You will stay abreast of new technology capabilities and leverage knowledge in contributing to product solutions. You will drive technical solutions for large features/technically complex features.
- Enjoy working on an energetic, fun team and have a clear ability to drive the data platform forward as part of a highly collaborative team, while acting in accordance with Starbucks guiding principles.
We'd love to hear from people with:
- 7 years of industry experience in a technology environment with a record of successfully delivering complex products
- Hands on experience with data warehousing applications and platforms (required); Incorta platform and application development (highly desired)
- Hands on experience in developing technical roadmaps, story outlines, writing user stories, refining product backlogs and coordinating/prioritizing conflicting requirements in a fast-paced, changing environment
- Detail- and results-oriented, able to analyze data to justify product decisions and apply key learnings
- Ability to thoroughly understand complex business and technical issues and influence decision making. Consistently use communication skills to influence outcomes
- Strong verbal and written communications skills, ability to quickly master new systems and/or processes, capacity to stay organized while managing competing priorities
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field
