What are the responsibilities and job description for the CNC Operator position at START, Inc.?

START Inc is seeking CNC Lathe Operators.

SHIFT:

7am-3pm

3pm-11pm

11pm-7am

REQUIREMENTS:

Requires at least one year experience as a CNC Operator that knows how to change tool/inserts
Must be able to change tool and inserts as needed
Must be able to use micrometers, calipers, etc. to measure and check quality of parts according to customer specifications

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Active participant in the Elimination of Waste Team meetings
Required to operate machinery in various CNC machining centers
Sets machine controls according to program and installs fixtures
Responsible for set-up, repairing tooling and programs as well as troubleshooting of machines in their cell area
Required to understand, know and apply the knowledge to all machines, machine processes and their functions in their work area
Makes preliminary check on first piece, adjusts tools to maintain proper dimensions and part quality overall
Responsible for fully completing and updating all paperwork on daily basis (production reports, PPLH, TAKT, scrap reports, housekeeping check sheets, etc)
Manually positions and removes tools as prescribed
Responsible for quality of all production parts produced at their station
Required to perform all quality checks on production as specified by Quality Control
Keep work areas and equipment clean and safe
Responsible for reporting any quality defects to the Team Leader or Supervisor

Pay: $18.00 - $20.90 per hour
