Overview
State Farm is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Privacy and Information Security Counsel to join our Corporate Law Department. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in advising on enterprise programs related to privacy, information security, risk, and compliance. Your expertise will be essential in providing legal advice on federal and state privacy and information security requirements, enterprise risk management, and the compliance and ethics program.
Responsibilities
- Advise on enterprise programs related to privacy, information security, risk, and compliance
- Provide legal advice on federal and state privacy and information security requirements
- Collaborate with business leaders throughout the enterprise to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure data protection and information security
- Stay up-to-date with changes in laws, regulations, and industry standards related to privacy and information security
Requirements
- JD degree from an ABA-accredited law school
- Active license to practice law in at least one state
- 5 years of experience in privacy and/or information security laws and regulations
- Familiarity with risk and/or compliance programs
- Demonstrated adaptability, learning agility, and the ability to excel in a collaborative environment

- May work irregular hours due to workload and nature of the work
