Job Title: Insurance Defense Attorney
We are seeking a highly skilled Insurance Defense Attorney to join our team at State Farm. As a member of our litigation team, you will be responsible for handling a high-volume caseload from discovery stage through trial.
The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of civil procedure, evidence, and trial procedures. You will possess excellent research abilities, written and oral advocacy skills, and be well organized, detail oriented, and able to independently manage a busy time-sensitive caseload.
Responsibilities:
- Handle a high-volume caseload from discovery stage through trial
- Develop and implement effective litigation strategies
- Conduct research and analysis to support case development
- Prepare and present evidence in court
- Collaborate with support staff to manage case-related tasks
Requirements:
- Law degree from an ABA-accredited law school
- Active license to practice law in New York and membership in good standing with the New York state bar
- 1-10 years of insurance defense litigation/trial experience
- Experience working in a paperless environment
- Strong automation/technological skills for lawsuit handling and courtroom presentation
