The Department of Economic Security, Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD) is seeking an experienced and highly motivated individual to join our team as a Program Administrator.
• Monitoring on-going compliance with all ICF/IID and state licensing requirements.
• Managing annual surveys and complaint surveys initiated by Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and Department of Health Services (DHS).
• Complying with CMS and DHS Safety Regulations.
• Facilitating regular management meetings with subordinates and meet regularly on a 1-1 basis with staff who are supervised both directly and through matrix supervision.
• Oversight of all personnel activities including recruitment, hiring, disciplinary actions. performance evaluations and other personnel issues.
• Working with the Office of Facilities Management to ensure the appropriate operation and safety of the physical plant environment.
• Working with Business Operations staff to develop budgets, allocate funds, approve purchase requests, monitor expenditures, and ensure appropriate contracts are in place.
• Ensure the appropriate provision of on-going staff development and training.
• In concert with the Quality Management Department, ensure incident reports are filed in a timely manner, follow up regarding these incidents occurs, requests/assignments of fact findings occur, and appropriate reports are completed in a timely manner.
• Identifying trends which require interventions.
• Liaison with all families/guardians, advocacy groups, HRC/PRC committees, and community organizations.
• Other duties as assigned as related to the position.
• Knowledge of Federal Regulations (Title XIX) for Intermediate Care Facilities for Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities.
• Knowledge of State legislative process.

• Licensed Nursing Home Administrator
OR
• 5 years of social work experience in administrative positions or at the professional level which includes 3 years of experience working with individuals with Developmental Disabilities.
OR
• A Bachelor's degree in social services, health education, education (i.e., psychology, social work, health services) degree or closely related field from an accredited college or university.
AND
• Demonstrate experience in management of complex programs requiring expertise in analytical thinking & strategic planning.
• Employee shall have a valid Level One fingerprint clearance card issued pursuant to Arizona Revised Statute 41-2758.07 in order to work with children and vulnerable adults.
• Candidates for this position shall be subject to a search of the Child Protective Services Central Registry pursuant to A.R.S. 8-804.
• Successfully complete the Electronic Employment Eligibility Verification Program (E-Verify), applicable to all newly hired state employees.
• Successfully pass background and reference check; employment is contingent upon completion of the above-mentioned process and the Agency’s ability to reasonably accommodate any restrictions.
• In-state travel is required. This position requires possession of and ability to retain a current, valid state-issued driver’s license appropriate to the assignment. Employees who drive on state business are subject to driver’s license record checks, must maintain acceptable driving records and must complete any required driver training (see Arizona Administrative Code R2-10-207.12.). Employees may be required to use their own transportation as well as maintaining valid motor vehicle insurance and current Arizona vehicle registration; however, mileage will be reimbursed.
