Description of Duties:
• Installs, troubleshoots, and repairs telecommunications equipment.
• Installs data/voice cabling including network and telephone lines and Voice over IP (VoIP) equipment.
• Responds to Help Desk, Information Technology and/or supervisor requests; repairs or resolves telecommunications problems; services telecommunications equipment in multiple buildings.
• May be subject to climbing ladders and working in tight spaces.
• Occasional lifting of objects up to 50 pounds
• Subject to standing, walking, sitting, bending, reaching, kneeling, pushing and pulling
• Transport equipment and parts between various locations.
Requirements:
• Two years of work experience in installation and repair of electronic telephone systems or network cable plant.
• Knowledge of telecommunications systems including Avaya, Cisco, ShoreTel, Mitel
• Interpersonal and communications skills including tact and diplomacy.
• Organizational and planning skills with attention to detail and follow through.
• Experience Installing and maintaining telecommunications equipment and cabling.
• Must be self-starter and work well independently, as well as, within a team environment
• Must possess a clean driving record.
• Must pass background check.
