THIS IS NOT A REMOTE POSITION. MUST BE ABLE TO TRAVEL TO DIFFERENT LOCATIONS WITHIN MILLEDGEVILLE, GA AS NEEDED BY THE IT MANAGER. MUST LIVE WITHIN 40 MILES OF MILLEDGEVILLE, GA TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THE POSITION.
We are currently seeking Authorization Specialist to join our team in making a difference in the lives of our patients every day. Summary of Duties
This Authorization Specialist will under broad supervision, will ensure eligibility for individuals are verified through the ASO system. This individual will submit initial individual registrations details on behalf of our consumers, and subsequent authorizations. In addition, this individual will
Responsibilities
- Services will be authorized based on individual’s needs alongside program design and APEX qualifications.
- Most services requires an authorization from the ASO via provider batch submission. Verifying this information as required.
- Individual will submit an authorization request and subsequent claim for services for an individual who may have erroneously referred for assessment.
- Individual will ensure that co-pays are collected and will ensure that each CSI consumer has an authorization before we provide services
- Ensure that there is an authorization for group, family, and individual services.

- Candidate must have a valid driver’s license
- Current car insurance
- Must be willing to travel within an eight (8) county area. *Agency vehicles will be available.*
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in a related area from an accredited college or university
- Equivalent combinations of education, training, and experience will be considered
- Ability to travel a minimum of 40% of the time.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's or Bachelor’s degree in a related area from an accredited college or university and One year of experience with Substance Use Disorder Treatment.
Knowledge & Skills
- Must be a self-started and work independently;
- Must be highly organized and efficient;
- Computer skills required (internet, word processing and spreadsheet programs);
- Must be able to perform assignments with minimal supervision;
- Must be able to comprehend and perform oral and written instructions and procedures;
- Must have effective comprehensive reading skills, strong communication skills, written and verbal.
