This recruitment will be used to establish a list of qualified applicants to fill the current vacancies and may be used to fill future vacancies as they occur.Operates TWO (2) or more types of light motorized equipment such as Farmall International or John Deere rubber-wheeled tractors and pick-up trucks as a major work assignment; may perform manual work tasks in connection with general construction and maintenance work; and perform other related duties as assigned.To qualify, you must meet all of the following requirements:
Legal Authorization to Work Requirement:
The State of Hawaii requires all persons seeking employment with the government of the State shall be citizens, nationals, or permanent resident aliens of the United States, or eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment in the United States.
Experience and Training: ONE (1) YEAR of work experience involving the operation of at least two of the motorized equipment representative of the class Equipment Operator I (e.g., Farmall tractors and trucks having a factory rated capacity of less than 1-1/2 tons), or any equivalent combination of experience and training.
Note: Possession of the required number of years of experience will not in itself be accepted as proof of qualification for a position. The applicant's overall experience must have been of such scope and level of responsibility as to conclusively demonstrate that he/she has the ability to perform the duties of the position for which he/she is being considered.
Driver's License: Applicants must possess a valid driver's license at the time of appointment.
Special Requirement: Some positions require the ability to lift and carry objects of various weights with or without reasonable accommodation. The immediate vacancies require the ability to lift/carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds unassisted and 100 pounds assisted.
