Job Description:
This is technical services work in performing difficult and moderately complex engineering duties in a variety of field and office engineering specialties. This position performs a variety of technical tasks in the field and office in an independent manner and will be required to work as Chief Inspector (or Resident Inspector) on active construction projects. Responsibilities include monitoring and enforcing the contractor's work in order to assure that all work inspected meets the standard specifications and contract requirements and is tested as per policy and meets expected quality. Winter duties may include collecting field data, designing and estimating projects. Supervision is exercised over subordinate technical personnel performing moderately complex tasks. Work is performed under limited supervision.
To be minimally qualified for this position candidates must provide evidence of the following experience:
Five (5) years of experience in engineering –OR- an Associate Degree in Engineering or a related technical field and three (3) years of experience in engineering -OR- a Bachelors Degree in Engineering or a related technical field and one (1) year of experience in engineering.
