Operations Services division of Direct Care & Treatment (DCT) provides foundational services to each of the DCT core services including Forensics, Mental Health and Substance Abuse Treatment Services, Community Based Services, Minnesota Sex Offender Program and Ambulatory clinics. Operation Services consists of many departments which are shared throughout these core services to ensure those served receive the highest quality care. Operation Services doesn’t work for just one program – Operation Services works for many.
Job Summary
The Learning and Development Specialist 2 will assist the Learning & Development team to assess, coordinate, schedule and evaluate moderately complex learning and development programs. This position will work in consultation with the Learning & Development Supervisor to assist, as assigned, in the implementation of overall department course development and review, resource management and stakeholder communications. This position also provides instructor, master instructor and classroom support, delivery of learning programs and serves as the secondary learning resource contact for Moose Lake.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
To qualify the applicant must meet 1 of the following criteria:
- One (1) year of professional experience or three (3) years advanced administrative support, paraprofessional or technical experience in instructional design or delivering training to adult learners that demonstrates the following:
- Designing, developing and coordinating training programs and learning and development activities
- Training and experience in the use of needs assessment, training methods, adult learning, training evaluation and measurement
- Experience with learning management or other similar tracking and reporting software
OR
- Bachelor’s degree in Learning Management, Instructional Design, Adult Education or related field and 2 years of advanced technical or paraprofessional experience in instructional design or delivering training to adult learners that demonstrates the following:
- Designing, developing and coordinating training programs and development activities
- Training and experience in the use of needs assessment, training methods, adult learning, training evaluation and measurement
- Experience with learning management system or other similar tracking/reporting software
OR
- Master’s degree in Learning Management, Instructional Design, Adult Education or related field
Note: Associate degree in Learning Management, Instructional Design, Adult Education or related field may substitute for 1 year of advanced administrative support, paraprofessional or technical experience
