Job Overview:
To Help maintain the excellence of camp operations by providing maintenance and care to all grounds, buildings, and to vehicles. In addition to providing the best customer service to our guests.
What You Will Do:
- Accept instruction and guidance from camp administration.
- Attend orientation sessions, safety meetings and staff meetings as requested.
- Occasional but rare opening and closing of camp for guest groups, some weekends required.
- Maintain a healthy supply of seasoned firewood.
- Perform inside/outside the building regular trash pick-up, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning of restrooms and basement kitchen and other cleaning duties as needed.
- Repair and maintain property including building, heating/cooling, plumbing, electrical service and furniture.
- Assist with repairs and maintenance of equipment including lawn mowers, snow blowers, and weed trimmers.
- Use of hand and/or power tools for basic maintenance services.
- Remove snow from sidewalks, driveway and parking lot.
- Meet with outside contractors regarding service work or estimates.
- Perform emergency repairs whenever possible before calling in outside services.
- Inspect, recommend and receive approvals for major building repairs and building/janitorial supplies.
- Perform routine janitorial/custodial services as needed.
- Set up rooms and equipment as directed. This may involve relocating office items, including furniture and file cabinets. May include relocating beds and bedding in a safe and sanitary way.
- Help maintain records and conducts periodic checks on vehicles.
- Drive trucks/other TSA vehicles in connection with deliveries, pick-ups, and maintenance as directed. Help with loading and unloading as assigned.
- Assist with set up and moving of supplies and equipment at various TSA events and locations as assigned.
- Prepare and implement preventative maintenance schedule.
- Implementation and following of safety guidelines and restrictions
- Report to management/department head on building security and safety.
- Other duties as assigned/needed.
Minimum Qualifications: The requirements listed below are representative of the minimal education, experience, skills, and/or abilities required for this position.
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
Background Checks: Position requires a background check to be completed. Findings may disqualify an individual for this position.
Experience: Prior maintenance experience preferred. Demonstrates basic understanding of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, small motors, diesel and gasoline engines and other power equipment.
Certifications: Pool Operator’s Certification or willing to obtain certification.
Skills/Abilities:
- Able to speak, write and understand English in a manner sufficient for effective communication with leadership, field personnel, and clientele.
- Computer proficiency with Microsoft products and ability to learn electronic reporting systems.
Supervisory Responsibility: Help with oversight of summer maintenance, part time maintenance and volunteer maintenance in corporation with the Property Manager.

Physical Requirements Include:
- Good speaking, hearing and vision ability, and excellent manual dexterity.
- Lifting, pulling and pushing of materials up to 100 pounds (examples: rock salt, sandbags, cleaning supplies, tractor parts, chairs and bed frames) on regular basis.
- Require bending, squatting, kneeling, ascending/ descending stairs and walking for extend periods.
- May require standing for extended periods.
- Maintaining trails while walking and using equipment for extend period of time.
- Use of lawn care equipment for extend periods of time.
Travel: Occasional help with mail pickup or signing of packages and appropriate location drop-off. Pick up delivery of items in TSA vehicles. Travel to various TSA events and units statewide as needed.
Working Conditions: Work is performed in a typical office/ maintenance environment with exposure to fumes, dust, steam, water and chemicals. Exposure to all weather conditions. May require some weekend and evening work.
