The Bureau of WIC and Nutrition Services has an opening for a Public Health Program Associate who will facilitate technical trainings and conduct testing for MOWINS, the Missouri WIC Information Network System. As the MOWINS Trainer, you will indirectly be an integral part of serving over 80,000 Missouri WIC participants each month, providing nutrition education, breastfeeding support, a supplemental food package and health care referrals for women, infants and children. What you’ll do:
- Develop and conduct face-to-face and e-Learning trainings about MOWINS for local agency staff;
- Perform research and testing on issues reported to the MOWINS help desk, tracking bugs/defects and resolutions;
- Review testing documentation for accuracy, and assure completion of testing by assigned deadlines;
- Test MOWINS software releases for defect fixes and enhancements;
- Attend various conference calls with other SPIRIT States to troubleshoot current issues and plan for advancements;
- Provide technical assistance to local agency users on the MOWINS help desk.
All you need for success:
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in technology, computer information systems, public health, education, social services, public or business administration, and/or health care administration;
- Two or more years of professional experience developing, implementing, testing, or using a complex data system.
- Aptitude for learning new data systems and presenting technical information to non-technical staff.
- Experience with creative software such as Canvas, Microsoft or Adobe applications.
