This temporary position is located in Raleigh - Wake County.
Job Order Hourly Rate of Pay: $25.00 (Based on education and/or years of relevant work experience reflected on the application).
This temporary position will be assigned to the Department of Public Instruction. This position is located at 301 N. Wilmington St., Raleigh, NC 27601.
This position serves as primary HR Technician to complete personnel and OM actions DPI’s
temporary staffing efforts to include approximately 70 temporary staff via Temporary Solutions, 120 temps at Governors School, and 790 at NC Virtual Public School. This position will also support other HR efforts to include but not limited in the areas of recruitment, personnel file management including archiving inactive files. Also, assist HR Assistant as needed as first point of contact for anyone needing direct contact from the HR Director including managing the director’s calendar, assist with meeting and report information. Other areas of responsibility include support of service awards, retirement letters, etc.

- Basic to working knowledge of State HR systems and processes.
- Basic knowledge of federal and state laws, and State policies, procedures and practices.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others; to handle confidential matters with tact and discretion; to express ideas clearly and concisely; to exercise good judgment in analyzing situations and making decisions within area of responsibility; able to learn and apply rules, procedures, and practices for various human resources management activities or personnel actions.

Associate’s degree, typically in Human Resources or relevant field from an appropriately accredited institution and 1 year of experience required; or 2 years of progressive experience in Human Resources; or equivalent combination or education and experience.
