What are the responsibilities and job description for the Regional Agribusiness Developer position at State of North Carolina?
The Regional Agribusiness Developer position provides support to North Carolina agriculture companies, particularly those producers, processors, and value-added food companies. This position will promote the development of the agricultural industry and agribusiness throughout North Carolina and aide in improving the economic well-being of the agricultural and rural community. Position will establish and develop business relationships and assist with the expansions of existing agribusiness companies, ag start-ups, and entrepreneurs to aid their growth/stability in the local/regional economy. The incumbent will ensure the assigned region is familiar with the services and assistance that can be provided by the GTBNC program, International Marketing, Horticulture, Commodity Grading, and all services of the 19 Divisions of the NC Department of Agriculture & Consumer Services.
This position serves the following counties and candidate must reside in one of the following counties: Mecklenburg, Union, Anson, Richmond, Montgomery, Stanly, Cabarrus, Rowan, Iredell, Yadkin, Surry, Stokes, Forsyth, Davidson, Davie, Rockingham, Caswell, Alamance, Chatham, Guilford, and Randolph.
