What You'll Do:
Serves as the Case Manager on behalf of the Office for Improvement and Innovation:
Leadership: The Improvement Case Manager, in collaboration with the office Director, leads the development and implementation of Department-wide, regionally focused collaborative teams charged with aligning systems, processes and procedures to provide a unified system of support for designated districts and schools. The Case Manager facilitates and participates in the design, implementation, and evaluation of unified Department support plans for designated districts and schools.
Communication: The case manager serves as the single point of contact for internal and external communication for the Department-wide, regionally focused collaborative teams. The case manager creates an effective feedback loop that includes:
- Communication for superintendents, central office administrators, principals, and teachers about the knowledge and skills needed to facilitate policies, processes and practices that focus on improving student achievement as outlined in support plans;
- Communication to align support with other key Department and district staff including weekly and/or quarterly updates of team progress.
- Communication to Office, Center and Department leadership regarding the progress of collaborative team work and implementation of support plans.
Monitoring and Evaluation: The case manager monitors the implementation of regionally focused support plans both in collaboration with the Department-wide, regionally focused collaborative teams and through ongoing communication with district and school leaders. Monitoring will include:
- Regular visits to districts and schools;
- Record-keeping and sharing of support plan progress in an accessible format;
- Development and submission of quarterly and annual progress reports to Office, Center and Department leadership.
Supervision: Assists in the leadership of an effective office and enactment of the office plan through the supervision of assigned staff:
- Hires staff.
- Provides onboarding and training.
- Evaluates performance.
- Approves/disapproves leave.
- Assigns and reviews work.
- Provides progressive discipline as necessary.
- Represents Office for Improvement and Innovation in relevant cross agency leaderships and work functions.
- Demonstrates commitment to building leadership capacity (as individual and for supervised staff).

Completion of a Master’s degree in one of the following areas: education, business administration, social sciences,
public administration, marketing, law, economics, psychology, organizational development, and public policy; and 3 years of experience in an education or non-profit setting which must include developing, writing, and/or monitoring improvement or strategic plans.
Preferred Qualifications:
At least 3 years of experience as a licensed administrator (director, assistant principal, principal, superintendent, etc.) in a K-12 setting with experience coaching teachers and staff.
