As the Executive Assistant, you will be an essential partner to the State Superintendent, ensuring the smooth functioning of their office and facilitating their ability to lead and manage educational initiatives statewide effectively. Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, public administration, or related field [official transcripts required upon hire];
- Five (5) years of experience as an executive assistant or administrative assistant, preferably in an education or government setting;
- Or an equivalent combination of education and experience, substituting one year of relevant experience for each year of the required education.
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without sponsorship now or in the future;
- Successful completion of a pre-employment background check;
- Must possess a valid driver’s license from a U.S. state or territory to perform necessary job-related travel

- Knowledge & Expertise: Strong proficiency in office software, including Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with diverse stakeholders. - Schedule Management: Efficiently manage the State Superintendent's calendar, including scheduling appointments, meetings, and events. Prioritize and coordinate daily activities to optimize the Superintendent's time and productivity.
- Administrative Support: Assist the State Superintendent in managing administrative tasks, such as budget tracking, expense reporting, and procurement. Collaborate with other team members to support cross-functional initiatives and departmental objectives.
- Communication Coordination: Serve as the primary point of contact for the State Superintendent, handling incoming calls, emails, and inquiries with professionalism and promptness. Draft and proofread correspondence, reports, and other written materials on behalf of the Superintendent as needed.
- Meeting and Event Coordination: Organize and coordinate meetings, conferences, and events on behalf of the State Superintendent, ensuring logistical arrangements are seamless. Prepare meeting materials, agendas, and presentations, and provide necessary support during meetings.
- Information Management: Maintain confidential and sensitive information with the utmost discretion and professionalism. Organize and manage office records, files, and databases, ensuring they are up-to-date and easily accessible.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Assist in maintaining positive relationships with internal staff, government officials, education leaders, and external partners. Facilitate communication between the State Superintendent and various stakeholders to ensure efficient information flow.
- Project Coordination: Assist in managing various academic projects, tracking progress, and ensuring deadlines are met. Collaborate with other department staff to support cross-functional initiatives.
- Special Projects: Support the State Superintendent in various projects and initiatives, contributing to the successful implementation of departmental objectives. Conduct research, gather data, and provide summaries and recommendations as required.

- Work is typically performed in a climate-controlled office setting with exposure to moderate noise. While performing the duties of the job, employee is frequently required to talk, stand, walk.
