What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fisheries Biologist IV position at State of South Carolina?
This employee will be responsible for administering all programs and activities of Freshwater Fisheries Region 2 with inter- and intra-agency resource interest groups to insure effective management of the state's natural resources and the agency's material resources.
Job Duties Include:
- Planning, directing, and coordinating freshwater fisheries management and program activities and personnel in Region 2.
- Acting as the administrative leader for Region 2's freshwater fisheries program, ensuring:
- all reports are submitted as required
- equipment is maintained and inventoried
- budgets are submitted
- expenditures are monitored
- federal aid documents are prepared
- programs meet the requirements on funding entities
- DNR policies and procedures are followed and appropriate state and federal laws are obeyed
- Attending Coordinator meetings and conference calls.
- Coordinating and representing the region's freshwater programs in liaison and partnership with local, state, and federal governments, non-governmental organizations, the general public and legislative interests.
- Ensuring coordination between divsions of each program's activities and needs.
- Communicating information to Section administration and others as required and offering assistance as needed.
- Coordinating the region's freshwater fisheries activities with other Section programs to insure the effective and efficient use of program assets.
Salary : $56,210 - $104,000
