Job Posting for Instructor, English at State of South Carolina
The full-time instructor will carry a full teaching load consisting of all English courses offered at NETC. The instructor will teach using a variety of delivery modalities (face-to-face, broadcast and online) at any of NETC's campuses, including prison programs. The instructor will also advise students in planning course selections each semester, participate in college events, recruitment, professional development activities, and maintain a minimum of 8 office hours per week.Master's degree with a minimum of 18 graduate hours in English. Valid Driver's License.Previous experience teaching at community/colleges, high schools, industries, and/or prisons. Experience using a variety of teaching modalities (face-to-face, broadcast and online). Master's degree or 18 graduate hours in a second subject area which would allow the faculty member to teach in a second discipline.Teaching faculty are employed for 39-weeks (nine-months) encompassing the Fall and Spring Semesters. Teaching faculty may be considered for supplemental employment opportunities during the summer.
