What are the responsibilities and job description for the Night & Weekend LPN Instructor position at State of South Carolina?
Teach Practical Nursing classes to a diverse student body using effective teaching strategies for the various Practical Nursing courses and others as needed.
• Develop, revise, and maintain course material.
• Recommend/design course and program curriculum and material as needed. • Maintain office hours for student advising, mentoring, and tutoring.
• Participate in appropriate professional development opportunities.
• Participate in College and community activities, promote the Spartanburg Community College mission.
• Develop/Implement retention strategies and evaluate the effectiveness.
• Assist in graduate placement. Attend graduation and pinning ceremonies.
• Assist with student orientation and registration.
• Serve on College committees.
• Promote Institutional goals. • Assist the Dean as needed.
• Teaching may be on all campuses or by distance learning.
• Facilitate course clinical, adjunct appointment and clinical student evaluations for assigned courses. Instruction/clinical rotation will be nights, weekends, or a combination.
• Liaison between Spartanburg Community College and Clinical Sites for student placement/ rotations
• Maintain up to date student records related to clinical placement and My Clinical ExchangeMaster's degree in Nursing Degree required
• A current unencumbered South Carolina Nursing License
• 2 years clinical experience in the primary area of responsibilitySimulation experience in related field of expertise. Salary : $75,000 - $85,000
