Position and Division Information

The Attorney General’s Office is recruiting for a permanent full time Docket Manager (Forms and Records Analyst 3) in the Labor and Industries Division (LNI). This position is located in Seattle, Washington, and  is represented by the Washington Federation of State Employees (WFSE).

Employees assigned to our Seattle Office location receive an additional 5% King County Location Pay stipend.

Division Description
 
LNI is a dynamic, diverse, and collegial division with sections in Seattle and Tumwater. The Division is comprised of 100 employees who are committed to serving the public by providing high-quality legal services in support of their client's mission to: protect workers, preserve the industrial insurance accident fund and help injured workers heal and return to work. The LNI Division handles litigation and advice for our client in a broad array of areas, including: Industrial Insurance, Worker Health and Safety, Employer Services, Employment Standards, Wage Theft, Building Trades and Crime Victim's Compensation. The workload of the division includes client advice and high-volume, fast-paced litigation before the Board of Industrial Insurance Appeals and the Office of Administrative Hearings, Washington Superior Courts, and Courts of Appeal and Federal Courts.
 


Join our team! We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time permanent Forms and Records Analyst 3! 

In the role of Docket Manager, this vital position manages the process for new appeals and lawsuits received by LNI in coordination with Seattle section management and its peers across the statewide LNI team. Some of your duties would include:

·        Manage the receipt of new superior court appeals

·        Develop and maintain efficient processes and procedures for file set up, maintenance and distribution while complying with all agency and division specific business rules

·        Coordinate with program advisor(s) if questions arise regarding new appeals from the client or appeals to higher courts.

 

Additionally, the position supervises four legal office assistants who perform general clerical work and basic technical legal assignments under close supervision. This position serves as a member of the Seattle section management team and the Division extended leadership team.

 Positions typically require a Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, industrial engineering, or a related field and two years of experience in forms and/or records management
 
Conditions of Employment
 
Per AGO Policy, employees and volunteers of the AGO must be fully vaccinated as a condition of employment. Being fully vaccinated means that an individual is at least two weeks past their final dose of an authorized COVID-19 vaccine regimen. Effective March 14, 2022, the AGO announced pursuant to its policy, that employees and volunteers must also receive a booster shot as a condition of employment. Employees or volunteers who are not eligible to receive the booster before their start date, due to required waiting times after receiving their initial vaccine(s), must provide confirmation of the vaccine type and date received so the AGO can calculate the date by which they must receive the booster. If you are selected to serve within the AGO as an employee or volunteer, you will be required to provide proof of vaccination and booster (if already received) before you are able to begin work. You may request an accommodation if you are unable to meet the requirement due to a medical or religious necessity.
