What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fencing Install Laborers position at Statewide Fencing?
**POSITION IS LOCATED IN FRANKSVILLE, WI***
Statewide Fencing, Inc. is currently seeking to hire more fence installers to help us meet the increasing demand and growth we've been experiencing. We are a family owned and operated small business. We focus on serving southeastern Wisconsin, but occasionally serve other in-state and regional locations. We take pride in offering high quality fence installations and service to our customers, and we are seeking hard-working and like-minded individuals who also take pride in their work.
Absolute must-have's:
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to lift at least 75lbs.
- Ability to do basic math.
- A basic familiarity with hand and power tools.
- A basic familiarity with safety equipement/procedures.
- Ability to be punctual and have a reliable mode of transportation.
- A willingness to learn, the drive to work hard, and a reputation for being dependable.
- A valid driver's license.
Preferred but not required:
- Previous background in the fence industry.
- Background in a related field (construction, landscaping, carpentry, welding, maintenance, etc).
- Strong background with power tools and hand tools.
- Strong background with machinery (skid steers, bobcats, forklifts, Toro Dingos, augers, etc).
- Experience with snow plowing or snow removal.
While having some or most of these preferred qualities is highly desirable, we will provide training to the right person. A person's desire to learn and work hard is most important. We regard fencing as a craft and a skilled labor industry. We care about the end result for our customers, and want people who feel the same way. Lots of opportunity for overtime work, especially during our busy season.

All applicants should feel comfortable with physical labor as well as working outside in various elements and weather conditions. We serve a wide range of customers including residential, commercial, and industrial, so applicants should be prepared for an ever-changing work environment. Work schedule is weather-dependent, our installers do not work in severe weather or rain. While a typical work week is Monday through Friday, we do work some Saturdays (especially during the warmer months). Work begins every morning at our main location in Franksville, and we have company trucks for transportation from our shop to job sites.
