In this Senior Accountant role, you will be an integral member of the Finance team reporting into the Controller and partner closely with the Chief Financial Officer. You will be responsible for a variety of accounting tasks; including general ledger entries, month-end close, and financial reporting. You will also be responsible for building, implementing, and maintaining policies, procedures and internal controls
\n- Ensure the close is completed in a timely fashion
- Reconcile all accounts (balance sheet and P&L) and update all schedules (prepaids, accruals, assets, etc.)
- Work with the Controller to build, document, and implement processes and procedures
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements
- Assist with the audit process
- Assist with R&D analysis
- Oversee the completion and accuracy of AP, AR, and reconciliations
- Work cross functionally to ensure that all departmental questions and concerns, pertaining to the finance team, are responded to and answered in a timely manner
- Assist with the implementation of new accounting systems and processes
- Operate in accordance with a strong internal control environment and identify areas of improvement
- 5 years of accounting experience with a strong foundation in accounting principles, standards, and techniques
- Team player with a track record of effectively building relationships with business partners across functions to accomplish critical goals
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate complex financial information and concepts to a diverse audience of varying backgrounds
- Strong IT and systems skills. Experience with Quickbooks Online, Bill.com, Navan (TripActions) and/or Stripe would be a plus
- Strong knowledge of Excel
- Proven experience thriving in a fast-paced environment
