GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
This position is responsible for preparing/cutting scrap metal to specified sizing with a hand torch. Experience working in a
heavy industrial environment is required.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
Drug test
Prior experience using propane and oxygen hand torches will be taken into consideration
Effectively communicate any issues immediately
Attendance must be excellent (no tardiness or absences for the first 90 days, unless approved by supervisor)
Maintain a safe and clean work area
Communicate any issues immediately
Performance of other duties as needed when assigned by management
QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE JOB
Experience: Must have knowledge of welding torchers and systems
KEY COMPETENCIES
Work outside in environmental conditions with the ability to work under extreme conditions
Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) (hardhat, safety glasses, torcher safety clothing, steel toe boots,
and hearing protection)
Stand 8 hours per day while holding a torch
Must be able to communicate effectively using oral and written communication skills
Physical requirements include intermittent bending, crouching, push and pull 50 pounds, lift 50 pounds floor to waist
and reaching.
Must be able to execute job duties independently without being supervised
Must be able to work overtime and be flexible with hours as needed
Must show up on time and ready/willing to work
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
